I departed from Ocala airport early in the morning as the sun rose over Florida and made my way over Orlando and to the sea for the Caribbean islands.

As I turned towards the airport the ground speed rose from 115 to 150kt and that helped a lot as at that point I already had yellow fuel warning light on that meant that I had less than 300 pounds of fuel on board.

Soon after turning towards the airport I started a gentle 800ft/m descent to save fuel. That helped as I was able to bring my fuel consumption down from 300lbs/h to 200lbs/h.
After descending for some time I was able to get my first glance at Grand Bahama island.
I eventually hit the cloud tops at approximately 180000ft and the shallow descent rate enabled me to do some cloud-surfing before it turned into IMC conditions.
After breaking out of the clouds I finally got to see my destination, The Great Abaco island where my destination airport was at. As I was well in VMC I decided to disconnect the autopilot and take it manually from there.

On final I noticed that I had a slight crosswind from the right with I was able to conteract with a crab at first which I then changed to a slip to be aligned with the runway.
During rollout I brought my flaps up and my condition lever to Low Idle gate to have an easy taxi.
The flight is completed and the pilot is happy and satisfied with his workhorse. C208 has done it again.
This was the first leg to non-US airport during this tour. I will be soon doing more flights and giving you details about each of them.
Until then have a great day
